NARRATIVE TEXT
 
1.      Narrative text is a text that tells a story and imaginative fiction or a fantasy that is not real or does not really happen.
2.      The purpose of narrative text is to entertain,create,stimulate emotions,motivation,give and teach the readers.
3.      Structure of narrative text
a.      Orientation ,which sets the scene and introduces the characters (it answer question : who,when,what and where).
b.      Complication,in which a crisis or a problem arises,which usually involves the main characters.
c.      Resolution,a solution to the problem (for better or for worse). Here main characters find ways to ways to solve the problem.
d.      Coda which summarizes the point of the story and moral message we may get.

4.      Language feature
a.      Using past tense : present tense, future tense, present perfect,present continous,and past continous.
b.      Usually using adverb of time like : long time ago, once upon a time, in afar away  etc.
c.      Using conjunction, like : then, after that,before  and etc.

5.      Example

The man who wanted to live forever 

Orientation                                       There was once a man who wanted to live forefer. He live in fear of dying. One day he was walking along and saw chinese dragon . “oh dragon”, he said. ‘ I live fear of dying, I hear that you live forefer.
Complication                                     I wish I was you “. Then , the dragon spoke “ kind man, you shall not like living forefer. I will show you what it feels like”. The dragon carried him to an island where no body died. Tha man lived there and was amazed at how the people would buy poison.
Orientation                                        Then after a while understood,the people did not enjoy living forefer. He called the   dragon. “ take me back”, he commanded. The dragon said, “ I see you learned your lesson”.

Re-orientation                                 And now in china when people see dragons they say,”we happy as we are ,oh,dragon.
 
DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

1.      Descriptive texs is a text which describe an object, place, or person associated with the objects that exist on an object, place or person to be described.
2.      The purpose of descriptive texs is to decribe something,like a place,someone and etc.
3.      Structure of descriptive text
a.      Topic sentence
Kalimat utama dari paragrap pertama.
b.     Supporting sentence
Kalimat penjelas
c.      Concluding sentence
Kalimat penutup atau kalimat kesimpulan.
4.      Language feature
a.      Using multiple tenses based on the time  simple present tense, past tense, and future tense.
b.      Using  verb like to be : is, am and are.
c.      Using lingking verb or verb of senses such as look,smell,taste,see,and seem.
d.      Using three parameter of senses: visual,auditory,and smell.
5.      Example

My close friend

Topic sentence                                        I have a close friend. Her name intan. Intan is twenty years old. Her studies at university of muhammadiyah metro.

Supporting sentence                              Her has two sister,they are nina and putri. Nina is in grade 12 of SMA 1 and putri is in grade 11 of SMA 1 also.Intan’s father is Mr. Tondo Waluyo. He is an english teacher at junior high school. Her mom works as a english teacher also but in defferent place.

Concluding sentence                           I love intan’s family. They are always friendly and very kind.
